My Name is Alex Fedorov and I am a photographer in NYC...
To me photography is about connection to the subject, about ability to see something special and wonderful and about interaction of the subject and light - the best photos are those that bring two of those aspects together.

When I photograph a wedding my main goal is to tell a story. Story that will capture the joy, happiness and feeling of that special day in a beautiful, heartfelt images. I always feel blessed that I get to be a part of such celebration.

Alex

My name is Alex Fedorov and I am a photographer based out of NYC. Photography has been a passion of mine since I was 16 and it is still a passion today. I love being able to call my passion – my work. I love creating beautiful photos that make people smile, remember, think and cry.

I don’t know if you ever tried to do it but it is damn hard to talk about yourself

Some random facts about me in no particular order …
I love my wife (Natalia), my mom (Olga), and my dog (Troy). Troy is getting very oldand I don’t like that.
I am addicted to science fiction books… and I read A LOT!

I can be quite goofy. I think that I am goofy only sometimes, Natalia claims that I am goofy most of the timethe jury is still out…

When I am not goofy I consider myself to be a pretty serious but very down-to-earth kind of guy.

I have always been and probably always will be … a Gear-Head – always on a search for a cool, new techie toy :)

A large chunk of our living room is occupied by something big, heavy, dark and musical …. Natalia calls it her grand piano… Troy knows it is the roof of his favorite hang out place, his own little house

I believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated. As my client, you can count on being treated with a combination of respect, humor and friendliness that I would like to see returned my way. If we are photographing your wedding or any other event – I can guarantee that we will always make an effort to be as unobtrusive as possible, we will always make an effort to help things go smoothly in any way we can. We will never be inconsiderate to your guests or other vendors. When I photograph a wedding, my goal is to tell your story! Since that story is uniquely yours, your photos should be too. I want the results to look like YOUR wedding and not anyone else’s. I strive to be consistently good, not consistently the same

When I photograph portraits, I want to connect with my subject(s)… I want to capture that unique spark that makes everyone of us so individual and fascinating…

Hi there. Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know us. I am Alex’s wife, Natalia.

I am a concert pianist. I am totally legit, with two Juilliard degrees to prove it.

When not photographing, practicing and performing, you can find me teaching piano to children of all ages …. including “children” at heart. I run my own music school and record label. That actually makes me sound smart and important…yikes.

I am VERY visual, and consider myself super lucky to be married to a photographer. I was always fascinated with photography as a child, but when you practice an instrument 4+ hours a day, it leaves you little time to explore other things. Once I met Alex though, I was hooked … on him and his photos

I LOVE working with Alex. It doesn’t hurt that he is really good at what he does and inspires me to keep growing.

I am obsessed with fashion!!! And even MORE obsessed with shoes…. Though, they don’t love me nearly as much and cause me great pain and agony. We are still going through therapy and trying to work it out.

Our boxer, Troy is the cutest, but he was never trained out of his drooly tendencies, so a little distance oftengoes a long way… Our dry cleaners love us.

I think somewhere very deep down, I am a Broadway showgirl. I adore Broadway Showtunes. I can’t dance for my life, but…If you are planning on playing some showtunes tunes at your wedding, I just mighthave to break out into song and dance.

My perfect evening is good company, good music, lots of laughter and good wine.

Two people in love = Magic! Being able to capture and freeze that magic is wonderful. Some folks argue that memories make us live too much in our past – I think they are the only reason we look forward to the future. Memories allow us to remember the beauty of our past experiences and then allow us to imagine and strive for bigger and better. I feel honored to be a part of people’s memories! And your wedding is one of the greatest memories of them all. AND its one fun and great looking party too… so for a girl who loves fashion, life doesn’t get any sweeter than that!
