Roanne + Hayden | Engagement | Central Park, NYC

We are seeing these guys later this week for their big day, so they will be on the blog again really soon… Here are some favorites from Roanne’s and Hayden’s engagement.  We got really lucky with the weather!  The forecast promised a high chance of rain – but the weather gods were kind to us and waited until we finished:)

We met right across the street from FAO Schwartz – I could not resist sneaking the guys in for a couple of shots inside:)

Olesya + Steven | Wedding | Monroe, CT

Couple of weeks ago we had a pleasure to photograph a beautiful and intimate wedding that took place in a private residence owned by Steven’s good friends. (You know people really like you when they are willing to move the furniture into the basement to accommodate your reception:))

Olesya & Steven executed this wedding perfectly with lots of heart and detail, but one of the things that made this day extra special to me was that it reminded me of our own wedding, which also took place in a home of our dear friends.  There is always such warmth and comfort in smaller events with only the very near and dear present.  Granted, ours was even smaller and easier to accommodate as we only had 30 guests;).

Olesya & Steven – Thank you for including me in your wonderful event!  I am so glad it worked out and we were brought together.  A huge thanks to my friend, Arthur for coming to second shoot with me and Olesya, I am really looking forward to our portrait session together soon!

This beautiful house was a perfect frame for Olesya who looked like she stepped out from the cover of a bridal magazine:). Stunning!

I have to mention that Steven’s caterer was absolutely amazing – excellent food with impeccable presentation.

Things you can do with a dark basement and a single video light:)

Maria + Jose | Engagement | Hyde Park, NY

A few shots from Maria’s and Jose’s engagement shoot.  The guys live a bit north of NYC and suggested we do the shoot in Hyde Park at the historic home of Franklin D.Roosevelt.  This was my first visit there and I must say it’s a real treat – the property is beautifully maintained under the National Park Service and contains not inly the actual home of FDR but also the first Presidential Library.  From a photography perspective it offers truly stunning views:)We did not get a chance to visit the inside of the residence and museum since they close pretty early on Sundays – but that just means I will have to come back and explore it some other day.

Maria and Jose – thank you for discovering  such a beautiful location and looking forward to your upcoming wedding!

As you can probably tell I absolutely love how Maria lights up when Jose is kissing her neck. Maria generally has an amazing smile but the moment Jose gets to her neck it becomes even more special:)

Sharon + James | Wedding | Rhinecliff Hotel | Hudson Valley, NY

Sharon and James got married at a beautiful Rhinecliff hotel – right on the Hudson. The day was sunny and hot, very, very hot – very different from the day we did the engagement shoot:) It was definitely one of those days when I start to doubt the wisdom of wearing black to weddings… On the other hand Sharon and James were cool and relaxed – no last moment jitters for these guys:)
I loved the hotel –  it was recently renovated and it’s an interesting mix of modern amenities seamlessly blended with sense of history and warmth that you don’t normally get with more modern venues. And considering how friendly and fun all of their friends are I think the venue was a perfect choice for Sharon and James.

Special thank you goes to my good friend Arthur Sargsian who photographed the wedding with me.

How many girls does it take to figure out the ties on the dress?:)

Last moment panic after I asked if the guys are ready to tie the knot:)

Does anyone know where to find a pay phone around here?:)

Goofy brother in law – Priceless!!:)

In this crowd the payback is right around the corner:)

Elana + Iden | Engagement | Central Park, NYC

A few shots from the Conservatory Gardens in Central park from Elana and Idan’s engagement shoot.  While I could talk about how cute the guys look together, how happy and in love they are – I think Elana’s radiant smile when she is looking at Idan says it all much better then I ever could!:)

Elana + Edan – it was really lovely to spend such a beautiful afternoon with you guys and I am very much looking forward to spending a day in Philadelphia for your big day:).  It’s such a great city and I love shooting there, so I can’t wait…
