Lindsay & Richard | Engagement | NYC

Lindsay and Richard hail all the way from Great Britain. Since they love to travel and love New York they decided to have their wedding in NYC. This engagement shoot was a bit unusual as we did it 3 days before the actual wedding:). We had a fun little shoot in Soho and then a did a quick stop in central park where I made guys walk way too much:).  Consider this a teaser for their wedding – which I’ll be posting shortly….

Cara and Xi | Engagement | NYC

Cara and Xi are an amazing couple, the guys are so comfortable and natural in front of the camera that you would think they were models!!  The shoot was a bit unusual for me – most couples are not entirely comfortable making out in front of the camera and have to be gently encouraged to do so – with these guys it was the opposite  - I had to keep pulling them apart:):):)It seemed every time I blinked they would start kissing:)

Cara and Xi – thank you for being such wonderful models and kudos for being willing to jump out of your coats on a beautiful but chilly day:)

Becky and Alex Bar/Bas Mitzvah

I have known Becky and Alex for many years as their family live in the same complex as us, and I have had the privilege of watching these two cute little kids grow into  young adults.  Since I know the whole family, being a part of this special event was such a treat and I really felt as if I am a part of the family – in fact, I am sure that all the guests felt the same way.  The ceremony really included all the guests, through song, readings and lots of proud and loving tears.  Becky, Alex and their family belong to the “Workman Circle,” which is a secular Jewish organization that encourages the bas/bar mitzvah candidates to select a topic that interests them and relates to the Jewish part of their identities.  After extensive, guided research and profound thought, the young people present their findings in any format they may select.  I was highly impressed by the amount of research and thought Becky and Alex invested into their chosen projects.  We were also extremely touched by the amount of love and pride that (literally) poured from their parents.

Becky, Alex, Judy and Josh – Thank you for letting Natalia and I be a part of one of the most meaningful days of your lives.  The love that all four of you have for each other is truly magical and inspirational and we know that Becky and Alex will continue to grow into genuine, beautiful and humble human beings.

Judy, Josh, Alex and Becky - These photos truly did capture the feelings and joy of our event. From being one of your first families you photographed years ago, we knew that you were the one we wanted to photograph our bar and bas mitzvah. Thanks to you and Natalia, we will have these pictures to look at in the years to come.

Andrea & Jeremy | Wedding | Tribeca, NYC

Andrea and Jeremy are both extremely creative and talented and their wedding was deeply meaningful and thoroughly entertaining! It was also very original.  To put it simply – we had a blast!  From the ceremony that the the guys wrote together with the rabbi to a comedy show about the couple during the cocktail hour, which told the story of their first meeting exactly 3 years ago to the day, every moment was filled with personal anecdotes and every detail reflected how meaningful the holiday Purim is to them, since they met at a Purim holiday party just next door to their venue.

We got to meet some wonderful people and work with some great vendors, including JPO Concepts who did a fantastic job of catering and executing Andrea and Jeremy’s vision of a beautiful and unusual decor flawlessly (kudos to Andrea for putting so much thought and effort into the design), a fantastic band – The John Dion Band and the coolest cake ever was a creation of the infamous, Momofuku Milk Bar.  To top it all off, how often does one get to hear the groom sing a song he wrote for his bride??!!

Andrea and Jeremy, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day.  Natalia and I were honored to be a part of such a beautiful evening and we can’t wait to get together for dinner in the near future and to continue being a part of your lives.  We are thrilled to have made new friends:)!!!

Misha+Vika | Engagement | NYC

This engagement shoot was a special treat for me as Misha and Vika are an old friends of mine.  Unfortunately I do not get to see them very often which made this session especially fun – not only I got to boss my friends around (which does not happen very often) we got a chance to catch up and hangout:)

Misha and Vika – congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!! I am very excited and happy for you – my only regret is that I am unable to be there:(
