Hike & Fitness shoot | Westpoint, NY

Before crazy October snow storms decided to create some havoc in the Northeast, I squeezed in a fun hike with our good friend, Laura who is an actress, a yogi and wanted some fitness style photos for her portfolio.  Laura brought along Bridget, who is a fellow yogi and an absolute sweetheart and her roommate, Christian, who is a nutritionist and will be happy to know that I am doing my best to stick to a gluten-free diet, at his suggestion.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Hike was a success for Christian:)

Carlos Dos Santos | Portrait of an Artist | NYC

Carlos is a man of many incredible talents – an accomplished choreographer, a sensational dancer and teacher, while also a phenomenal chef, jewelry designer and creator, artist and luckily for us …. a great friend!!!

Too many words somehow feel unnecessary when discussing Carlos, as he is  such a charismatic and vivid personality which speaks for itself … so on to the photos.

This gorgeous creature was watching Carlos pose – he or she looked hungry:)

Yelena + Patrick | Engagement | Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY

Yelena and Patrick are incredibly nice, super easy going, willing to do silly things on command, recently adopted an adorable puppy and they laugh … a lot!  What’s not to love:)?!!  It was great to spend a few hours in Brooklyn, in their neighborhood and to meet their newest family member, Cauchy :).  Nobody is really sure who his ancestors might be, but judging by the way he eats every stick in sight, I think he is a part beaver:)

The new Boss of the family:)

Jay + Paul | Wedding | Bird & Bottle Inn | Garrison, NY

This was a very special wedding for us, because Jay and Paul were the first gay couple that booked us since the New York law finally made same sex unions legal.  One of the main reasons we love weddings is the fact that they are a celebration of love and what can be more inspiring then a love that transcends the boundaries of sex and society. Additionally, it is always fun for us to see familiar faces and and couples whose weddings we photographed in the past and there is something very special about this  Hudson Valley Jewish community as every wedding that we have had a privilege to be a part of are always fun, exciting and very heartfelt events.

Jay & Paul – Thank you for allowing us to be part of your incredible week!  It is inspiring people such as yourselves and weddings and joyous celebrations such as the ones you created that remind us that in this far from perfect world, there is a lot of change happening….great and necessary change!

Yasmin + Daniel | Wedding | NYC

Yasmin & Daniel got engaged in Central Park a couple of years ago.  So, when it came time to plan their wedding, they decided to come back … from Sweden … and tie the knot here in NYC – in Central Park, of course:)!  After an intimate and beautiful ceremony in the park, all the guests were treated to a horse and carriage ride around the park and then on to the Empire hotel for drinks, followed by a delicious dinner at the infamous Per Se restaurant, which is owned by Thomas Keller, is ranked as the number 10 restaurant in the entire world!  Yasmin & Daniel may have had a very small affair, but it was wonderful and very classy – which describes them perfectly.

Yasmin & Daniel – Thank You for choosing me to document your special day.  Congratulations again on your marriage and on your super adorable little girl:).  Enjoy the photos and come visit NYC often.  I am sure Natalia would love to meet you next time you are in town.

The real star of the wedding:):)
