Sean Patrick Folster | Actor Headshots | NYC

Here are a few favorites from a recent photo shoot with Sean. When Sean contacted me about this shoot he and I discussed that his agent was looking for more specific “character” shots and not just standard headshots.  Some of the upcoming roles that Sean was about to audition for, included a few “Bad Guys,” so we needed to take a few Bad-Ass Looking photos, along with a few shots of the opposite, more fatherly approach for variety.  And – of course, me being me – I also HAD to throw in a few “funny faces”;).

Favorite Photos of 2011

Whew…. 2012 started with a huge “to-do” list that put our “Favorites of 2011″ project to a screeching halt. But as they say – better late then never! It was so fun to go back and re-live all the fun Natalia and I had photographing our incredible clients and remembering all the wonderful weddings that we were privileged enough to be a part of. We are extremely grateful to have made so many new friends and want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you! Thank you for finding us, hiring us, and then continuing to stay in our lives. Also, thank you for continuing to look at our work, for sharing it with your friends and family and for continuously recommending us. We have been extremely lucky to have doubled the number of weddings we photographed in our second year in business and this year we hope to not only capture at least the same number of weddings, but also to expand into doing more portrait work! So, those of you who have a creative project you have been itching to do – we can’t wait to hear about it:)…

Stay Tuned for a special contest that we will be holding in a few days for all of our 2011 Clients, as a way to say thanks (and just in time for Valentine’s Day;)). But for now… on to some of our Favorites from 2011 – Every one of our clients has been an integral part of our growth as artists last year and we cannot wait to continue developing and learning in 2012!!!

Sam + Kyle | Wedding | Columbus, OH

It’s hard to believe that an entire year of beautiful weddings has come to an end, but I certainly couldn’t have asked for a better couple to end my 2011 wedding season with.  For those of you who follow the blog, you will probably recognize Sam & Kyle, not only from their engagement session, which I posted a couple of weeks ago, but also from the weddings of Kyle’s sisters, Kate and Judy.  In fact, the entire Rainier family (and now Sam’s family too!) have a very special place in our hearts.  We feel privileged to have photographed the wedding of three siblings and to have become such a part of this family’s lives.  It is impossible to describe the warmth, welcome and kindness I received while staying with Kyle’s parents, who hosted me for the wedding weekend.  Kyle’s mom had secretly hinted to us about a potential upcoming engagement in the family at Judy’s wedding back in the spring and had insisted that we stay at her house if we are ever in town – little did she know that I would be taking her up on the offer so quickly.  Natalia, unfortunately,  was not able to fly to Columbus with me this time (she had several concerts already scheduled in California for that weekend) and she was so bummed that she had to miss seeing this bunch of fantastic folks, who by now we consider friends!  As with every Rainier wedding, this one had a lot of heart, lots of love and most amazing family … especially a certain, hilariously goofy grandpa …;)

Stay tuned for our annual post where we recap our year and pick our favorites … now – on to the photos of our last 2011 wedding.  We think its a great way to exit this year – just look at this stunning bride:)!  Sam, you looked beautiful and thank you again to you and Kyle for allowing me to photograph your special day and giving me an opportunity to see you all again – what a blast!

Adrian Daurov | Portrait of an Artist | NYC Headshot Photography

A few photos from a recent shoot for Adrian who needed publicity shots for his management.  Adrian is a super guy, a fantastic Juilliard trained cellist and plays everything from the full spectrum of Classical repertoire to more modern music.  He is a member of the Voxare String Quartet and gets some cool gigs too – most recently, performing with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and also with Josh Groban on the Live with Kelly Show on NBC….pretty cool stuff;)

Sam + Kyle | Engagement | Columbus, OH

A couple of weeks ago, I flew out to Columbus to photograph the wedding of Sam and Kyle.  In a a lot of ways this felt like visiting very old and dear friends as Kyle is the 3rd Rainier clan member whose wedding I got to photograph:).

Being on a swing in a short dress is an art form:)– Sam definitely mastered it:)
