Kiki and Ike got married on a REALLY hot day in Maryland. While it might not have been as hot as what their families are used to back home in Nigeria, to us – it certainly felt like a scorching African day
.
This was our first Nigerian wedding and hopefully not the last! We loved both, how warm and friendly the people are, and how colorful the outfits are
. It was great to have my friend, Arthur Sargsian helping me out. Whenever Natalia is not available to photograph a wedding with me, he has been stepping in and always does a phenomenal job!
Kiki and Ike – Thank you for finding us and really going out of your way to make sure that I capture your special day. It is always a great compliment when a couple outside of the immediate New York Area chooses me as their photographer. It shows that you not only enjoy my work, but trust me and that means a lot! Plus, we love to travel
. Seeing your happiness and the fun you had, getting to hang out with your fun bridal party, and watching your mothers glow with joy and your fathers immense pride was wonderful. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the photos

Outtakes:
We found out its a really bad idea to try to take formal photos in a Nigerian crowd without clearing everybody from the church first![]()

I think this was the first time in my career I had to elbow through the crowd of “photographers” just to step back far enough to get the whole group into the frame![]()
